<h2>Effectiveness of My Dose Coach™ (MDC)-assisted basal insulin titration in People with Type 2 Diabetes in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait*</h2>

<h2>Objective</h2>
<p>Evaluate the real-world effectiveness of the MDC app among PWT2D in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, using Toujeo, measured by&nbsp;<strong>achievement of FBG target, change in FBG, and rate of hypoglycemia</strong></p>

<h2>Study design</h2>
<p>A retrospective observational cohort analysis included people with T2D who were registered for MDC by their HCP between 5/2021-8/2022 and received Toujeo. Outcomes were also analyzed based FBG goal status (achieved target; still titrating; stopped using MDC) and on MDC usage (high: &gt;3 days per week; moderate: ≥1–≤3 days per week; low: ≤1 day per week)</p>

<h2>Results</h2>
<p>Overall,&nbsp;<strong>58.9%&nbsp;</strong>of users achieved their individualized FBG target. Mean (SD) time to reach FBG was 16.3 (20.8) days&nbsp;<strong>91.2%</strong>&nbsp;of patients with high MDC usage achieved their FBG target, with a mean (SD) time of 14.8 (19.4) days to reach target, compared with 24.5% of patients with moderate usage (mean time 29.4 [28.4] days).</p>

<h2>Conclusion</h2>
<p>Among PWT2D in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait,&nbsp;<strong>use of My Dose Coach™ led to a better glycemic control with low risk of hypoglycemia</strong>; the best glycemic outcomes were observed with high versus moderate or low usage of the app</p>

My Dose Coach - Real World Evidence

<p>To compare the efficacy in achieving the fasting self-monitoring plasma glucose (SMPG) Target of 90-130 mg/dL, between two insulin glargine titration methods: My Dose Coach<sup>TM</sup>&nbsp;app with remote real-time settings (MDC) and conventional strategy (CS) with face-to- face insulin dose modifications every 2 weeks.</p>

 <li>This retrospective observational cohort analysis included people with T2D who were registered for My Dose Coach<sup>TM</sup>&nbsp;by their HCP between 8/1/2018 – 4/30/2020 and received BI</li>
 <li>Study outcomes included change in FBG, change in insulin dose, occurrence of hypoglycemia (defined as FBG below the HCP defined hypoglycemia cut-off per the titration plan), usage of My Dose Coach<sup>TM</sup>, percentage of users achieving FBG target, and time to achieving FBG target</li>
 <li>Users were trained to record FBG and administered BI doses directly in My Dose Coach<sup>TM</sup>. Users with an activated care plan and ≥ 2 FBG observations spanning at least 2 weeks (active users) were selected for analysis</li>
 <li>Users who logged ≥ 3 consecutive FBG measurements within their prescribed target range were defined as reaching titration target (specified by the HCP during care plan creation)</li>
</ul>
