My patients who had tried everything, they had the worst polyps -in the earlier clinical trials, we did not know that this would even work, we were very skeptical, and so when patients came back to us a week or two after their injection, and they were saying that they could smell again after they hadn't smelled anything for decades, it's quite a remarkable thing. But not only that, the patients believed in this, they could immediately sense that something was happening to them that they had never experienced before with surgery or with medication, so it was quite inspiring to see that process.

Dupixent can decrease the amount of revision polyp surgeries and prevent polyps from coming back, while continuing to avoid the need for steroids.3

Hear from an expert on would you consider a biologic for a Surgery-naïve Patient with CRS with Nasal Polyps?

Sure yes, if a patient is never had a sinus surgery and is candidate for surgery but does not want to have a surgery and want other option, yes, I will give biologics because I do think biologics are just as effective with patients who has sugary or history of surgery vs who did not. What we do know is that CRSwNP is a system condition with comorbidities that do not always response to the sinus surgery and there for now we welcome the new opportunity of treating these patients in non-surgical way using biologics.

Type 2 Inflammation is the underlying cause of CRSwNP in 80% of Patients.

IL-4 and IL-13 have distinct and overlapping roles with a broad impact on CRSwNP symptoms.
